At this time last year, I was living in Ireland, and had photographed 7 weddings from December 1-January 19th. Winter weddings are incredibly popular in Ireland. Many couples in Ireland have family or friends who have emigrated to other countries. And they all come home for Christmas! So with unpredictable weather all year round, even in summer, a winter wedding makes sense.
Mary and Ricardo’s wedding was nearly one year ago today. It was at the beautiful historic Castle Durrow in County Laois…a place where I am excited to photograph a wedding again in October 2014!
