JAMES & EMILY | EVERGREEN LAKE HOUSE WEDDING

So happy to share some of James and Emily’s misty May wedding at Evergreen Lake House, and more will be featured on Style Me Pretty wedding blog on July 17th. Emily contacted me to photograph her wedding after looking at more than 40 photographers on the internet! They were going to have a very small intimate wedding in Colorado where they now live and there would be lots of family and friends coming in from other states. She wanted her photography to be natural, unforced, capturing the love of the day and the moments as they appeared. Eventhough it rained all day (and all month!), I felt that the misty day gave a feeling of nostalgic romanticism to the photography. It was perfect for Emily’s vintage Jane Austenesque style (dress by BHLDN and Emily made her veil), and lent a feeling of Ireland with the traditional Irish music duo Adam Agee and Jon Sousa who played during their ceremony. Thank you again to Emily and James for finding me amongst the sea of photographers here in Colorado and connecting with my artistic and nostalgic style. I am so excited that you will have a set of heirloom photography to share with your grandchildren!

I think the above photgraph might be the greatest group photograph that I have ever taken! A totally unscripted natural moment!
