This past Spring, I was in New Mexico on a little holiday. I love the muted oranges and sages of the desert and wanted to do a shoot their inspired by one of my favourite artists, Georgia O’Keefe. This collaborative inspiration shoot took place at the place where Georgia had her studio, Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu. Ghost Ranch is amazing! They have artist’s workshops there and also it is the setting for a number of Hollywood movies including City Slickers, Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skull, Wyatt Earp and many more. And they also host beautiful weddings…such an inspiring setting amongst the mesas and the grandeur of O’Keefe’s favourite mountain Pedernal. Thank you to Frances of Prema who did the styling for this shoot including wardrobe, table, and props, and also did the floral designs. She is so creative and creates incredibly artistic designs for weddings and events! Maggie Evans Designs of Boulder Colorado created the most perfect silk dress for the bride Adriana of the Phoenix Agency. Makeup was done by Santa Fe makeup artist Monica Stark, and the cake by Maggie’s Cakes Santa Fe. Our groom Masa Miichi of the Phoenix Agency wears JCrew (styled by Prema). Bespoke calligraphy by the renowned Kelle of Designsgirl graces letterpress stationery by Chatham & Caron Letterpress of Colorado. Sandals, pottery, flatware were all sourced by Prema of Denver. Handmade jewellery all by The Found Co Shop at the Rain Boutique in Fort Collins Colorado. This shoot was recently featured on Style Me Pretty. http://www.stylemepretty.com/little-black-book-blog/2015/09/04/enchanting-desert-wedding-inspiration/
