Catherine and Eoin are from Ireland and planned a wedding in Italy at Borgo di Tragliata near Rome. They had the help of Linda McAllorum, a fantastic planner based in Ireland with One of a Kind Weddings. I am so happy that we connected personally and that I was able to photograph their wedding day and also Rome engagement session!
Catherine and Eoin’s day was truly unique in that Eoin’s uncle in Rome performed their ceremony at San Isidore’s Church. San Isidore’s has a beautiful cloisters with orange trees where we photographed some family groups. San Isidore’s is at the top of Via Veneto, in the Via Degli Artisti. I am amazed at the logistics of bringing all of the guests from the Borgo to this ancient street in Rome! Linda really did a fantastic job!
The getting-ready and then the reception were at the beautiful agriturismo 12th century farm Borgo di Tragliata. It is not only a popular place for Italian weddings, but also for Irish destination weddings. I loved the old farm buildings, the olive tree grove, and the delicious food! Catherine and Eoin had a traditional Italian wedding cake, which was a first for me. It was huge!!! And absolutely delicious! This wedding has a piece of my heart…for the beauty of the location and the beauty of Catherine and Eoin’s souls. They had this wedding not only for themselves, but for the enjoyment of all of their friends and family who had travelled to be with them on their wedding day.
Grazie Mille to Catherine and Eoin for having me there to photograph their wedding! It was truly an honor and a dream come true!

Thank you so much for this comment! Sometimes I believe wedding blogs and websites want couples to think all about the “details” and the dress and shoes…that those are the most important parts of weddings. But I truly believe being able to capture the emotions and the “moment in time” is what is most important, and what the couple will cherish in the future in their wedding heirlooms. I love being able to capture a feeling or mood in a photograph and give it a printed form!
There were so many elements at this wedding and you captured them so well, Lisa! I love the colors and textures! Gorgeous day!
Absolutely stunning, Lisa! Her dress and veil are to die for! Swooning over these images.
Wow Lisa! This is absolute perfection! You did such an amazing job capturing this day! The background and couple are stunning!
